Peer Review Process

Finomatrix: Journal of Accounting, Business Analytics, and Economics implements a rigorous peer review process to ensure scientific excellence. All manuscripts submitted for publication are reviewed by peers in a double-blind manner according to the following procedure: FABAE

Initial Review (technical review): The Editor-in-Chief and Assistant Editors evaluate each manuscript to determine whether it meets all the specified criteria and whether its topic and content are suitable for consideration by FABAE. Manuscripts that do not meet the minimum criteria will be returned to the author within two weeks of receipt.

Peer Review: Manuscripts first undergo an initial review. In the initial review, the paper is reviewed by the journal editor and section editors. The editors check the suitability of the concept to the journal criteria as set out in the author guidelines. Next, the manuscript is checked for plagiarism and also assigned to reviewers. Second, each paper undergoes evaluation by at least two reviewers from the relevant field (double-blind review). Blind reviewers are assigned by the section editor or guest editor to evaluate the manuscript, which must be based on the journal's review form. The review process is conducted anonymously. Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, content, accuracy, and other factors. Reviewers are asked to complete their reviews within 7 to 14 weeks. Reviewer recommendations are as follows:

• Accepted - Two of the reviewers accept the manuscript;
• Accepted, with minor revisions - recommended revisions should be embedded by the author of the manuscript;
• Accepted, with major revisions - recommended revisions should be embedded by the author of the manuscript;
• Rejected, specifying the reason for rejections. 

Manuscripts must be accepted by two reviewers to proceed to other technical steps before publication. If one reviewer accepts and the second rejects the manuscript, the journal section or editor-in-chief sends the manuscript for a second round of evaluation to two other reviewers in the relevant field. Thus, in this case, the final decision is based on the second round, which is also the final round in which the manuscript can be evaluated.

Finomatrix: Journal of Accounting, Business Analytics, and Economics does not disclose the identity of reviewers to authors and vice versa in order to implement a double-blind peer review process. The results of the review itself will only be shared with the authors concerned.
